Born in Wilmington, Ohio, Trin (pronounced Treen) lives in Dayton, Ohio with her partner of nine years and their family, which consists of three dogs and four cats.

 
A life-changing event in 2004 forced Trin to find an alternative way to heal emotionally and she started writing seriously. She found the old saying "The pen is mightier than the sword" to be so true.

She concentrated on writing feature movie screenplays and entered them into various screenwriting contests held in California. After one particular screenplay reached the quarterfinals in the 2006 Page International and 2007 Hollywood Nexus screenwriting contests she did a reverse adaptation of that screenplay. Four weeks later, she finally finished the manuscript for her debut novel titled, Worth Dying For in 2008.
